Producer Barbie 101 🤹🏻‍♀️

Driven by a ❤️ of the art of photography, Catherine has spent two decades contributing to the breadth of production roles under the creative content umbrella. Lugging “L’Originale” Le Books around Paris, frayed around its coil binds and full of the creatives that leveraged the industry, she hit the cobblestones as un stage at the Hearst satellite office for iconic editor Jane Catanni, was a model agent assistant to the great Robert Farrel at Marilyn Gaultier Agency (Kate, Helena, Linda…) and found her seat at the table of Lucia Vietri Artists as a Junior Photo Rep (Michele Compte, Francesca Sorrenti, Jaques Olivar…). She dove deep into the education of a future Producer Barbie with these Master Class aesthetics from the heyday of fashion, product and portrait photography buried within. Crossing the pond she opened the Women’s Division at the iconic Boss Models, scouted, booked and creatively boosted the careers of models through the birth of the grunge edge age at New York Models and was a part of the launch team of boutique agency One Management. Transitioning back to the seat at the shoulder of content creators, now becoming DP’s & Directors, Catherine took her pocketbook of knowledge to the freelance world, catering to every corner of a growing industry transitioning from film to digital, media and promotional platforms bursting at the seams. Within this fast-moving matrix requiring constant learning and adaptation, she found her creative happy place editing over light boxes, Photo Editing for a plethora of magazines at Hearst, American Express, Meredith and more. Freelance Production, Art Buying and recently Integrated Production for these editorials, agencies and clients-direct fluidly followed her from her beloved NY to the South to this day. Transitioning within major industry advances and a location change, Catherine advanced into more key roles within a vast media and content landscape, adding full production house capabilities and Integrated/Broadcast Production to the pot. Sourcing content creators of every kind (photographers, DPs, CGI, illustrators…) for the likes of GSD&M (Southwest Airlines, Wallgreens, Food Lion…), the most decadent of still life/food quests for Klondike at Via Agency, back to her studio fashion/beauty roots for FS Cut & Color at Rivers Agency, as well as catering to complex brands in Pharma, Political, Travel and more. In addition to sourcing and taking photographers, DPs and production companies through the internal bidding and production processes for all content/media types, she fills her time creating estimates, bids and treatments, then producing winning productions on behalf of Reps and Creatives, country-wide. Catherine’s “I ❤️ PROD” office recently moved to the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains, just a quick drive to production hubs like Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, solidifying her Producer Barbie status, smoothing out productions for the Southeast and anywhere productions bring her.
